Megan Maguire Steele

Biography 

Megan Maguire Steele graduated from Washington University in 2002 with a BFA in Painting and minors in Business and Art History. She then attended Rhode Island School of Design and matriculated with an MFA in Painting and Collegiate Teaching Certification from Brown University in 2005. After a rapid rise working for well-established public relations firms, she launched her own agency, Maguire Steele, in August 2008. The New York-based agency specializes in full service public relations and the representation of emerging and established designer men's, women's and accessories brands, prestige beauty and grooming brands, and retail and e-commerce stores.

In 2010, Megan Maguire Steele scored a double win for her client Billy Reid as he became the first designer to win the GQ Best New Designer Award and the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award in the same year. In addition, she produces and executes many events annually for clients that have performative qualities. For example, she partnered artist Ryan McNamara, who is represented by Elizabeth Dee Gallery, with Timo Weiland to collaborate on a short video that debuted at the designer's presentation during New York Fashion Week. The video collaboration was featured on Style.com, T: The New York Times/The Moment, and various other media outlets.
