Jesse Wilks

Biography

Jesse Wilks is right-handed and was raised by two artists in New York City. He started building with blocks at the age of one, and received a BA in Architecture from Washington University in 2009.

Statement

My passion for architecture is rooted in a passion for making. I take great joy in designing, using my hands along with my mind to help me understand and appreciate the tangibility of what I propose. I strive for elegant simplicity mixed with subtle moments of surprise in the spaces I propose and the objects I create.

I hope to make architecture for populations that are most in need of thoughtful design.
