Sarina Finkelstein

Biography 

Sarina Finkelstein is an editorial and fine-art photographer based in New York. She earned her BFA in Photography from Washington University in St. Louis and her MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Finkelstein was recently selected as a Critical Mass Finalist and as one of 100 photographers to participate in Review Santa Fe. She has been a guest speaker for the Professional Women Photographers as well as a speaker and award recipient at the Society for Photographic Education National Conference.

Finkelstein's current work is an exploration of modern-day gold prospectors in California, which has been featured in the London Sunday Telegraph SEVEN magazine, in slideshows on TIME.com and NPR.org, and on photo blogs such as Discover Magazine's Visual Science, Feature Shoot, and Conscientious. She is currently preparing for an upcoming show at the Newspace Center for Photography in Portland, Oregon. Finkelstein lives in Brooklyn with her husband, fellow photographer and Washington University in St. Louis graduate David Leventi.
