As a Digital Imaging & Photography major, you will have rich experiences in photographic media across a wide range of applications. You will be exposed to documentary work in the field, large-format studio photography, digital photography, and classical nonsilver techniques. These processes are bound together by an abiding passion for photographic vision and a keen interest in the academic studies that parallel, inform, and enrich creative practice.
The program includes technical learning, engagement with the history of the field, and contemporary critical perspectives. The course of study involves an intensive studio experience in the junior year, followed by directed independent research that culminates in a senior thesis portfolio. Our facilities feature the full range of current photographic practice.
