2021 Sam Fox School + Brown School Commencement Ceremony

As long as conditions in the region remain favorable, the University will hold in-person Commencement ceremonies to celebrate the Class of 2021. Due to limitations on gatherings and crowd sizes, the University is hosting multiple, smaller ceremonies for each class.

The ceremony celebrating graduates from the Sam Fox School and Brown School will take place from 6:30-8p Central May 20 at Francis Olympic Field on the Danforth Campus. The in-person event is limited to registered guests; the ceremony will also be livestreamed at commencement.wustl.edu.

Additional speakers at this event will include Tirzah Reed, BFA in Art, who will deliver the undergraduate student address.

Special Policies & Protocols

The University is taking numerous precautions to ensure the safety of all who choose to attend the in-person Commencement ceremony, including adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols. These measures including the following:

- There will be a maximum of 500 graduates at each ceremony.
- Graduates will be permitted to invite up to two guests each to campus to view the ceremonies. All guests will be required to register, and physical distancing will be observed in the viewing areas.
- You may attend the in-person ceremonies even if you have not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine. However, all students and guests are asked to significantly limit their interactions with others 14 days prior to the Commencement ceremonies. This includes staying at home as much as possible, wearing a mask if you must be in contact with anyone outside your home, and keeping at least six feet of distance between yourself and others outside of your family.
