Commencement 2021

As long as conditions in the region remain favorable, the University will proceed with holding in-person Commencement ceremonies to celebrate the Classes of 2020 and 2021, supplemented by virtual events. Because there is a capacity limit on Zoom, we will simultaneously livestream the event on the Sam Fox School YouTube channel. We strongly encourage families and friends who have access to YouTube to view the event through this platform. Those encountering access issues on YouTube are also welcome to register through the Zoom link above.

Class of 2020 Events

Washington University will celebrate the Class of 2020 graduates with in-person cermonies on Sunday, May 30 at Francis Olympic Field on the Danforth Campus. Due to limitations on gatherings and crowd sizes, the University is hosting multiple, smaller ceremonies as follows:

8:30-10a Central: Class of 2020 Undergraduate Students (Last Names Alpha A-K)
12-1:30p Central: Class of 2020 Undergraduate Students (Last Names Alpha L-Z)
3:30-5p Central: Class of 2020 Graduate Students

Julie L. Gerberding, MD, the first woman to serve as director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), will deliver the keynote address. Full details, including special COVID-19 safety protocols, can be found on the Commencement website.
