Adam Budak, curator for contemporary art at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, has curated many well received international exhibitions including Protections: This is Not an Exhibition and Volksgarten: Politics of Belonging. Budak is an expert in contemporary Eastern European art and artists, and his lecture, titled Anxiety of Influence. Phantasmagoria of Eastern Europe, is presented in conjunction with the Balázs Kicsiny: Killing Time exhibition and as part of the Sam Fox School Public Lecture Series.

A free public reception will precede the lecture from 6-6:30p in the Kemper Art Museum Atrium.
