线上中文美术导览: 好想好想去旅行

旅行,一直是大家津津乐道的一个话题。尤其是在疫情全球蔓延的时期,人们因为居家隔离、无法出行,从而更加怀念旅途中的时光与乐趣。在中部时间5月22日晚间8点,春天的末尾,Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum为大家带来一期旅行主题的线上美术导览。我们将一同欣赏十九世纪东西方艺术家在旅途中创作出的精彩作品,包括日本艺术家歌川广重的浮世绘作品、美国风景画大师吉福德的油画作品以及美国版画彭内尔的蚀刻版画。三位风格迥异的画家,三种不同的艺术形式,让我们领略旅途风景在艺术家笔下的诸种可能。

The Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum is excited to continue the Chinese language tour series with a virtual tour of the permanent collection in Mandarin on May 22 at 8 pm (CT). Yue Dai, PhD student in the Department of Art History and Archaeology in Arts & Sciences, will lead the tour via Zoom, sharing insights and images of artworks that connect to the theme of travel by such artists as the ukiyo-e master Utagawa Hiroshige, the Hudson River school painter Sanford Gifford, and the American printmaker and illustrator Joseph Pennell.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
