A Thing Like You and Me: 2020 MFA in Visual Art Thesis Exhibition

While the Kemper Art Museum remains closed to the public due to COVID-19, the Museum will be accessible by reservation to Washington University students, faculty, and staff in support of teaching on campus during the fall 2020 semester.

This exhibition features thesis projects by members of the MFA in Visual Art 2020 graduating class of the Sam Fox School’s Graduate School of Art. These recent alumni present artworks in various media, exploring themes such as the politics of race, the role of gender, the poetics of the everyday, and utopian/dystopian futures.

The 2020 MFA in Visual Art graduates are Grace Eunhae Cho, Damaris Dunham, Brie Henderson, Aleida Hertel, Yeeun Kang, Alex T. Klein, Sarah Knight, Liz Moore, Emily Mueller, Lola Ayisha Ogbara, Linnéa Ryshke, Chris Scott, and Sixue Yang. 

The 2020 MFA in Visual Art Thesis Exhibition is organized by Leslie Markle, curator for public art, Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum. Support is provided by the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
