Molly Magnell, a senior communication design student minoring in art history and archaeology, has been selected for inclusion in the 2018 Society of Illustrators' Student Competition. Her work Fish Market, created during the Sam Fox School's semester-long program in Florence under professor Jeff Pike, was one of approximately 200 entries selected from over 7,000 submissions.

Each year, a jury of professional peers including illustrators and art directors selects the most outstanding works created by college-level illustration students throughout the year.

The selected works will be featured in a full-color catalog and an exhibition on view May 8-June 2 at the Museum of American Illustration at the Society of Illustrators in New York. Awards and certificates will be presented at the opening reception on May 11.
