Daniel DuGoff

HOMOCO plays with double entendres unique to the queer community to build an "in the know" feeling among its customers.

Daniel DuGoff is a menswear designer based in New York. He graduated from Washington University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. After completing internships in both menswear and womenswear, and working for designers Patrik Ervell and Marc Jacobs, DuGoff launched his first brand, DDUGOFF, in 2013. The collection offers “unbasic basics”—everyday menswear essentials that are somehow missing from your closet.

In early 2018, DuGoff launched his second brand, HOMOCO, a print-focused swim brand committed to sustainability. It enthusiastically embraces the queer community through inclusive messaging, sizing, and pricing. HOMOCO is centered around limited-edition releases of products, both designed by DuGoff and in collaboration with artists, designers, locations, and events. The brand is mission-driven to its core—from the materials, brand voice, and audience, and through the brand’s support of organizations championing ocean conservation and queer rights around the globe.

DuGoff was selected for the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s (CFDA) 2016 Fashion Incubator program. The same year, he was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in Art & Style. He and his brands have been featured in numerous magazines, including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Surface, Interview, Refinery29, Esquire, and Vogue.
