Vita Eruhimovitz

Vita Eruhimovitz was born in Ukraine, grew up in Israel, and currently lives and works in New York. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Shenkar College of Engineering, Design, and Art in Israel in 2012, and her Master of Fine Arts in Visual Art from Washington University in 2015. Her background in computer science and bioinformatics and her interest in science and technology inspire and inform her work. Eruhimovitz works across genres, and her practice encompasses painting, sculpture, and digital media.

Her art has been shown at museums and galleries nationally and internationally, including the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, Brattleboro Museum + Art Center (Vermont), San Diego Art Institute, Chashama Art Space, Black and White gallery, Denise Bibro Fine Art, the Sheldon Art Galleries, the Governors Island Art Fair, and the Design Museum Holon (Israel). Her public sculpture, Evidence of Mountain Root, shown with an augmented reality component created in collaboration with artist Michael Rees, won the Best Artwork award at the 2016 St. Louis Murmuration Festival.
