Jillian Ohl

Jillian is from Winston Salem, NC, and graduated from NC State University with a bachelor’s in art + design in 2014. Before moving to pursue her MFA in St. Louis, she worked in Raleigh, NC, in art galleries and an architecture firm, gaining a wide range of visual art and design experience.

Pulling inspiration from fashion, humor, popular culture, nature, and places, her artwork and illustrations are created using watercolor, ink, collage, and graphite. An avid Urban Sketcher, you can often find Jillian exploring the city while observing and sketching her surroundings. Her work has been exhibited throughout North Carolina, and since 2018, she has been producing her stationery and print line. When she’s not drawing, she enjoys her other hobbies, including watching Ken Burns’ documentaries, listening to sad indie music, drinking black coffee, and hanging out with her little fluffy dog.
