Students Create Animated Map of St. Louis as an Extension of the Alternative Atlas Course
As a continuation of the Alternative Atlas: STL course, doctoral students Bomin Kim and Jakob Hanschu created an animated map of St. Louis showing sites of racial violence and sites of resistance spanning over 200 years of the city’s history. The original course was supported by a CRE2 grant and taught by faculty Linda C. Samuels (Sam Fox School), Geoff Ward (Arts & Sciences), and Walter Johnson (Harvard University).
Kuo's Debut Picture Book to be Released This Month
Julia Kuo‘s (BFA07) debut picture book, Let’s Do Everything and Nothing, will be released later this month from Roaring Book Press. Kirkus Reviews calls it “a quiet book with a loud message about the everyday things that create constancy in a world of ephemeral pleasures.”
