Jim Scott

Jim Scott is a lawyer, teacher, and photographer. He is general counsel of CRB, a global provider of engineering, architecture, construction, and consulting services to advanced technology industries. He has extensive experience with all facets of project delivery and complex construction disputes. His work includes the acquisition of a large design firm in the UK, projects in the EU, claims in India, and business operations and projects in China.

Since 1985 he has taught in the College of Architecture, where he shares with students his passion for the design profession and its associated legal, risk, and business challenges.

Jim is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers and the former chair of the ABA Forum on Construction Law. He holds a BA from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a JD from the Saint Louis University School of Law.
