Mallarie Zimmer

Mallarie N. Zimmer (she/her/hers) has lived half her life in St. Louis, Missouri. She lived the first half in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Zimmer has a diverse and robust professional background. Her first job in St. Louis was as a corporate sculptor. Soon after she pivoted to non-profit and arts leadership, a career that spans many years. Past job titles include Communications Manager at a contemporary craft center, to Founder/Executive Director of a women’s arts festival spanning 4 cities along the Mississippi River, to Executive Director of a non-profit resale boutique that transformed into Rung for Women, an organization helping women with career advancement.

Most recently, Zimmer founded a microbusiness consulting firm serving creatives, social enterprises, and entrepreneurs. Supporting artists and innovators has been Zimmer’s life’s work. Her mother is a working artist, and they both graduated, at different times, from Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts.

In the summer of 2006, Zimmer “ran away with the circus,” and that was when and where she met her life partner Heath Aldrich. For 17 years they have been living happily ever in various neighborhoods around St. Louis. They eventually settled into their dream home in the quaint and quiet Clifton Heights neighborhood. Zimmer loves to travel and spend time with friends. Every morning she practices yoga, and on weekends she and Heath can usually be found watching movies at Alamo Drafthouse Theater.
