Dowd Illustration Research Archive

A division of Special Collections, the Dowd Illustration Research Archive is a preeminent site for studying the history and culture of American illustration.
The Washington University Libraries feature 12 distinct sites, vast print and electronic collections, and expert librarians whose first priority is helping students and faculty find the information they need. This includes two sites that are particularly relevant to the study of architecture, art, and design: the Kenneth & Nancy Kranzberg Art & Architecture Library, and the Dowd Illustration Research Library.
