Lisa Bulawsky, Director
As director of Island Press since 2011, Lisa Bulawsky has facilitated residencies with nationally and internationally known artists, who work alongside students and research assistants in a collaborative and experimental workshop atmosphere. Additionally, she is a professor and chair of the MFA in Visual Art program in the Sam Fox School, where she has taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels since 1996. Her practice is driven by questions concerning the nature of time and the representation of historical events of both a personal and collective scope. Full bio


Tom Reed, Master Printer
Tom Reed is the master printer at Island Press, as well as a senior lecturer in art and printmaking area coordinator in the Sam Fox School. He received his training as a printer from Landfall Press in Chicago, where he served as an intaglio printer with Jack Lemon and Steve Campbell. A practicing artist, his work has been the focal point of several solo and group exhibitions, including at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis and Elmhurst Museum of Art. He earned his MFA from the University of Iowa. Full bio


Amelia Jones, Studio Administrator
Amelia Jones is the studio administrator for Island Press, and is a working artist, educator, and independent curator based in St. Louis, Missouri. A graduate of Washington University’s MFA in Visual Art program, Amelia is also the instructional technician in the printmaking and book studios for the Sam Fox School.
